I just wanted to say hello.  This is a good site you have here, very informative.  I have a claim off of Clear Creek in French Gulch.  I look forward to try sniping for the first time, since I can't float my dredge anymore.  Look forward to talking to you folks.

Welcome to the forum Rugerguy, I'm familiar with the area where you have a claim.  There's good gold in that area. I used to prospect down stream on clear creek from French Gulch City. Spent many summers in the area.

Sounds like you are going to be sniping this season if the dredging ban is not removed, me too I'm in the same boat.

Just to let you know I am introducing a brand new digging tool, primarily designed for sniping, but works great for all types of digging.  The release date should be right about March 1st 2010, The name is bucketdigger. I think people will like it.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I will definitely try sniping this year, although I've never done it before; and don't know much about the dos and don'ts.  Our little creek doesn't seem to put out much big gold, but there's always that chance Grin.  As I attempt this new technique, I might be trying to pick your brains.

Thanks again for the nice site.

My manufacturer is tooling this month, I should be hearing from them sometime in early Feb 2010.

I took my bucketdigger prototype for its first real field test at the GPAA Pinelog outing on the Stanuslaus river, and after people used it, they wanted one. This thing digs better than any hand digging tool I've ever used.

I've used Scott's digging tool, and it is awesome! The design is perfect, he will sell a lot of them. I want one Scott, when they are produced!

Fred thanks, I most certainly will let you know when the bucketdigger is released. I will be looking for more retailers. So far I have one retailer lined up who is going to travel the Gold & Treasure shows in the US.

Nice website, clean and easy to navigate.
