Picker

I've never been to his shop, I live in the Sacramento area, but lived in Redding for most of my life. For mining supplies I would normally go to Howel's Paint Store in Redding.

with your knowledge of Hayfork i thought for sure you were a local!
i have been stuck down in Fresno for the last five years...

Why mess around with trinity when you have richer ground close to home?
Alfa diggings, Moore's' flat. some of the richest ground i have ever mined !!

Yes, and Moore's flat is even richer.

Alpha is ware Larry sally and Jimmy sierra taught their classes back in the day for whites metal detectors. rich ground, learning right from the old dogs...good memories.

yes an Omega diggins.
the forest service is doing land swaps with folks so they can fill in the checker board property lines in that area! check it out on a map.
green, white, green, white on and on
omega was hotter than alpha back in the day.

the last time i was there a prospector was using dexspan on a 15' diam quartz boulder.....bang crash in the middle of the night the boulder split into.
he split that thing four more times and hauled it all away on a low boy.

having a bit of trouble up loading pics to the site?HuhHuhHuh?

I know someone that has a claim near there.  Do you think there is still good gold up there or do you think its been cleaned out.  My guess is that its been hunted to the max.

Since dredging is not going to be opened back up for a few years its sure going to be difficult for me to find any decent amount of gold on my claim. Will have to manually dig in the middle of the creek, which will take 10 times longer to get to and work the bedrock, because there are so many quartz pockets with placer gold in them.

I'm releasing a new product to make digging easy, should be out in May of this year. It's called the BucketDigger.

when i worked the area they said it was worked out!

i just targeted the holes other guys dug
#2 shovel and remove 6" of soil
detect and keep doing the same thing over and over..
at alpha the old timers ran a ground sluice...
if you look real carefully you can still see the impression in the ground.
my best finds were on and near the tail race.

many on the pits in the area all did the same thing.
most guys are too lazy when looking for gold...
look at the cobble piles...they have been there for 100yrs
just move a pile that contains dirt within the cobble and you will find some great gold.
